What’s that head movement I see in Zouk videos?
The distinctive head movements in Zouk, such as “cambré” and “head rolls,” are introduced gradually and safely in our classes. While they add a unique flair to the dance, they’re not required for beginners. We prioritize building a solid foundation before exploring these advanced techniques.
Do I need dance experience to start?
Not at all! Our classes are designed for all levels, including complete beginners. We’ll guide you through the basics step-by-step, helping you build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
Do I need a dance partner?
No partner? No problem! Zouk is a social dance, and we rotate partners during classes to enhance learning and community building. You’re welcome to bring a partner if you prefer, but it’s not required.
I’m not very flexible or confident with body movement—can I still do Zouk?
Absolutely. Zouk emphasizes natural body movement and connection over flexibility. Our instructors focus on safe and progressive teaching methods, ensuring that dancers of all ages and body types can enjoy and benefit from the dan
